Sir William Jones said that, “Never neglect an opportunity for improvement. Self- improvement
can involve improving any aspects of the self like personal qualities, skills, creativity, thoughts,
personality etc. And even though self-improvement is a very independent pursuit, insight about
whether or not we’ve improved is very social. It helps enhance strength and skills, heal
relationship, improve mental health and also help to achieve the goals.
1. Save your single second
Mel Robbins said that, “The time is now. Stop hitting the snooze button on your life.” All the
people have 24 hour per day but only wise people are able to spend their time wisely. But, it is
the most challenging task for the modern youths. Multi-tasking will cost you 40% of your
productivity according to behavioral psychologists Susan Weinschenk. Therefore never attempt
two work simultaneously, that kills your time when switching the task. Better to focus on only
one task until it’s done. You can also avoid unnecessary meetings that wastes your valuable
time. Also practice to say no. It’s difficult to tell colleagues that you don’t have time to help
them but it is necessary. Next thing is wake up an hour early, your will have extra hour to invest
on other productive work. It is the best option to buy some helpful gadgets like microwaves,
washing machine etc to save your time. According to research 15-20 percent of adults
procrastinate regularly. Procrastinating can be drag on our productivity as we waste our free
time and delay important tasks. So, stay far from procrastination to save your every seconds. At
last, “time and tide wait for none.” Every individual must understand the value of time in order
to do well in self- improvement. The ones who waste time are those who don’t create their
own identities.
2. Motivate yourself to work
We all lose motivation from time to time. The only way to motivate yourself is think it as a
cup of tea. You just think about how good it must feel to be that. Make impossible look
possible and easy. If you can’t motivate yourself then nobody else can do. Therefore invest
your daily 10-15 minutes on reading, it will enhance your confidence and motivates you to
work. The most successful people in the world attribute their success to reading a lot of
books. To get motivated quickly just do it what you have started. You must not think about
anything else, suppressing all other thoughts, keeping your mind blank, acting like a robot. I
know it sound weird but it does work. Otherwise you will debate whether you should do it
now or there are other exciting options available. Also start acknowledging all the good you
are doing. Celebrate your little wins in your life. This will motivate you, encourage you and
help you in the self-improvement. In-fact, we need motivation for self-improvement.
Always focus to motivate you to go higher. Ever fear and weakness you overcome motivates
you to continue on the path of self-improvement. Overcome distractions and show your
brain to the great image of your goals then it will gives you the positive vibes every single
seconds.
3. Outsmart your smartphones
We now use our smartphones for work, entertainment and information daily as a result we
have developed a new set of emotional and behavioral patterns. In our technology crazed
world, instead of spending even a second alone with ourselves we reflexively turn to our
phones for entertainment, comfort or distractions. Our phones offers all sorts of fun stuff
like messages from our friends, news, games, apps and media which harm our self-
potential in case of excess. Our daily lives consists of us consuming both social and regular
media, so we absorb unrealistic expectations for how our body should look like, how
romantic relation should be, how much the likes and followers on instagram should be.
Therefore try to be true to yourself. Turning off those attention-hungry pop-ups is the
number one step to cut down on your device usage. If you can’t stay without checking your
phone then make a schedule. Touch your phone only when you finish your task or give five
minutes at the end of an hour. You can also choose time limit settings for apps. When you
really need to focus, literally hide your phone in a drawer, inside the blanket, another room
etc. Otherwise you will not able to improve yourself even with the thousands of tips.
4. Break your bad habits
Everyone has habits, and there’s nothing inherently wrong with them. Some are pretty
useful and some are bad like gossiping, biting nails, no sleep, skip meals, procrastination,
addictions etc. Breaking unwanted habits can be difficult, especially if you’ve been engaging
in them for a long time. But breaking an un-healthy habit can be done. Good or bad habits
are routines and routines are showering or driving to work are automatic and make our
lives easier. One of the burning issue that every youths are suffer from is intoxication. Also
pot smokers hold smoke I their lungs longer so, it may cause lung’s cancer. Nowadays
people need every facilities so they settled down themselves in a heavily polluted area.
Getting frequent sunburns due to not covering whole body is another popular habit among
teenagers. Any event is incomplete without drinking, it is nowadays a fashion. Another big
problem is having many sexual partners, when you have high sexual partners then you’re
high to get STDs and it can’t let you to come out from the comfort zone. It will kills your

run your own race on the way of improvement. Daily speak to yourself, dedicates 10
minutes for yourself, listen to yourself, be your best friend on your worst day. Self-caring is
the primary step in the self-improvement. Share your improvements and achievements with
your close one, their supports and blessing will encourages you to move ahead. There can’t
be the all well-wisher in the group so it is not necessary to share your next plans, daily
routine and secret happy life to others.

Your purpose in life is as unique to you as your fingerprint. We all have a particular set of
talents, experiences, skills and interests that light us up. Purpose is the long process, not the
short-term goal. It is related to these, but it is your reason for being. It is why you get out of
bed in the morning, even when you’re tired, and you know the tasks and challenges ahead
are going to be hard or even boring. Even a strong sense of purpose can wear you down.
That’s why ideally, your purpose blends with what interest you brings joy. For other, finding
meaning in our work and connecting it to our personal sense of purpose isn’t a cup of tea.

your failures, try to see each setback as an opportunity to grow. Behind every successful

on autopilot. Identifying, acknowledging, and honoring your purpose is the foundation of a
well-rounded life.

the service of spouse, children etc. Our brain produces four hormones where Dopamine and
Endorphin hormones produces when we involves in the matter of addiction, intoxication
etc. These chemicals gives the happiness for the short term but Serotonin and Oxytocin

segments. It is much easier to follow sequential steps than to try to complete everything at
once. If I said, “I’m going to be the best graphic designer ever.” Then it is unrealistic goal but

done rather than saying it can’t be done.” A recent study showed that those who were

disease etc. Positive thoughts make problems seem more manageable and help you
approach hardships in a more positive and productive way. When you focus on the good
